In asthma, the economic inequities are very significant. When people have more money, they tend to get asthma at a slower rate due to less stress. Also, people with more money live in areas with less pollution and can afford to have a healthy lifestyle. People who live in poverty have less doctors in their area; therefore, they have less access to medicine. This leads to greater inequality between people in poverty and those who aren't.
